50th edition of the Easter football festival

This Easter, the Jersey Bulls Foundation was proud to support and sponsor a fantastic youth football festival that brought together 174 young players from across the UK and Jersey for a week of friendship, football, and unforgettable memories.
From Sunday 5th April to Friday 10th April, children representing East Cornwall, Gloucester, Hackney, Newbury, Orpington, St Albans, Wokingham, and of course Jersey, took part in an incredible celebration of the game. Across the week, 36 matches were played, with the emphasis firmly placed on participation, enjoyment, and community spirit — making every team a winner.
Dan Pateman the festival’s honorary treasurer said:
“It’s a celebration of football, carrying with it a spirit that hasn’t really changed, and the fact that essence has remained is all a testament to the work of Paddy [Pat Cullinane]. It’s super-competitive; the skill level is unreal and has continued to improve. It’s all about using football as a vehicle to teach valuable lessons for life - respect, humility, sportsmanship, and losing with dignity. The list goes on.”
The Jersey Bulls Foundation was delighted to provide commemorative festival t-shirts to every player, ensuring each child left with a lasting reminder of a very special week both on and off the pitch.
The Foundation remains committed to supporting opportunities that use sport to inspire young people, build confidence, and strengthen communities. Events like this perfectly demonstrate the positive impact football can have in bringing people together and creating memories that last a lifetime.
