Second School joins our After School Support Programme
Following on from the successful launch of our pilot After School Support Programme at Rouge Bouillion (generously funded by Ogier), we are pleased to announce that St Saviour's School has now joined the Programme.
Primary school children at St Saviour's now have a chance to join the FREE after school club and enjoy a structured football coaching programme throughout the school year from a qualified Jersey Bulls FC coach. This has only been possible through sponsorship kindly provided by long-time supporter and main kit sponsor of Jersey Bulls FC, JTC Group.
The sessions will be tailored to the St Saviour's cohort and at all times remain fun and inclusive for boys and girls of all abilities. The children have also been thrilled to receive a Foundation branded sports top and will also receive match day tickets for their families to see the mighty Jersey Bulls FC play at Springfield later on in the season.
Foundation Chair, Danny Cole, said:
"We are thrilled to be able to build on the initial success of the After School Support Programme and be able to offer this scheme to St Saviour's School. This is a much needed sporting resource for pupils to experience high level coaching whilst their families benefit from a free after school club. The Foundation is extremely grateful to JTC Group for partnering with us to bring this opportunity to St Saviour's School and it is a further demonstration of JTC's continued support of Jersey Bulls FC, a club which firmly has community at its heart."
The scheme at St Saviour's School will focus on their Year 4 pupils. Headteacher at St Saviour's, Kirstie Williams, welcomes the assistance of the Jersey Bulls and JTC Group, and said:
"We are really honoured to be offered the opportunity from this level of support from the Jersey Bulls Foundation. The pupils involved are excited and enjoying their sessions. They are very respectful to the coach, keen to learn from him and progress their skills during the sessions. We are passionate about community at St Saviour's School and are delighted to be involved in this project, building a community more broadly than our school."
